I do hope that this message finds all well.
Below, you can now view/download a Members letter (2 pages) from our Chair Jane Hanson updating where we are and looking ahead to the exiting concerts in the New Horizons 2024/25 De Montfort Hall season.
Of note is the success of the 15% discount when buying tickets for all 4 concerts. We have already sold well on the way to 100 tickets for each. Please do encourage everyone you know who may be interested in coming to the concerts to purchase them this way. We are still having the single ticket discount through players for each concert (£2 off full price tickets) but it is still cheaper to buy all 4 at once!
I also wanted to remind everyone that the season schedule and other important information can always be found in the Members’ Section below.
Following discussions at the AGM, we have now included a Governance of the Bardi document which I would ask everyone to read. We have also added a form to enable members to ask questions to the Board.
The letter is addressed not only to Orchestra members but also Bardi Alumni. If you know of any past players that you think may be interested in rejoining the Orchestra then please do send the letter to them and then let me know if I need to make contact. We are also always looking out for new players, especially Strings, and so please also show them this letter about the new season if you feel that they may be interested in joining the Bardi.
I am also very pleased to announce that our Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto soloist in the May concert is Fenella Humphreys. Fenella has an impressive national and international reputation but is also well known to Leicester audiences after performing with several local ensembles.
